“Ajumma” means a woman old enough to be married.
What you are seeing here is a classic Ajumma look, rayon or cotton outfit with a little custom flair.

On Korean Air, outbound flight to Seoul:
LE: “Is this water? Is it Korean water?”
Me: “Yes, it is.”
LE: “Let me try some of this Korean water. (After taking a sip) This is delicious water.”
After a 14 hour flight to Seoul (direct from Dulles), and a 1.5 hour car ride to our residence, we made it to the Land of the Morning Calm! It’s our first morning here and we are having an early breakfast at Tom N Toms Coffee, a better-than-Starbucks coffee joint in Cheongdam. I am totally impressed with the quality of coffee here (which I need after 7 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours).
My Little Emperor didn’t sleep more than 3 hours on the flight (and I noticed, neither did any of the other 8 children on the flight) and woke up at 2am local time and didn’t go back to bed. Other than that, we are excited to see what Seoul has in store for us on our first day.
